Philips Lighting is leading the growth of lighting for the Horticulture. Now, it is supplying LED solutions so growth light can be tuned correctly to the crop & its environment. The objective of the International Key Account Manager is to preserve the leading position of the company in Horticulture LED Solutions; as well as identify and advise on the LED lighting solution for practices of plant growing.
Key responsibilities of International Key Account Manager Horticulture LED Solutions:
Understand the requirements of growers and translate these requirements to customized offers, including calculations.
Be the voice of the customer for the Horticulture team and also coordinate in activities related to the customers; especially, developing and building of LED in greenhouses for growing floriculture crops or vegetables.
Recognize sales process from an initial request till closing a deal.
Maintain the customer profile and expectations.
Manage and train partners in order to develop and grow the market.
Build good relationships with partners and also key-influencers.
Represent the Horticultural LED Solutions at various trade fairs and also other events.
Trends and Innovation:
Be up to date with interests and developments in lighting market; as well as, overall developments in greenhouses through online newsletters, seminars, trade fairs and also participate in other projects with other companies or partners.
Provide input to product development and marketing on new opportunities for Philips Lighting Horticulture.
Enables long term profitable growth through selling Philips Lighting Horticulture LED Solutions in Floriculture.
Lead the Market Team in introductions that related to Floriculture, coordinate the efforts of the sales, Product Management, Plant Specialists, Application Engineering and Marcom.
Identify and initiate partnership targets according to the strategy.
Requirements of International Key Account Manager Horticulture LED Solutions:
Bachelor or Master’s degree, in Horticulture, will be a plus.
Minimum five years’ experience in ornamentals and young plants in the greenhouse consultancy, production or research.
Obsessive with greenhouse technology, also plant physiology
General knowledge of lighting.
Result driven, committed, and also to-the-point mentality.
Fluent in English and Dutch, preferably fluent in German or French.
Strong communication skills, pro-active and conscientious.
A good team player, and also able to work in an autonomous way.
