National Specification Business Development Manager

The National Specification Business Development Manager will join Lighting Sales Department and will also have a responsibility for the business development. Business Development Manager will be reporting to the Lighting Solutions Manager; as well as working closely with the sales team. Your clients/customers will be commercial end users, consultants, and also public bodies (Universities – health Trusts).

Eaton is now looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is able to develop end-user relationships with these customer areas (commercial office; distribution, industrial, education, local Government, and healthcare).

The Business Development Manager will get a full training in the Eaton lighting & emergency lighting products and also energy saving. The role will be split between office based targets and on road activities.

The National Specification Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities from the first contact to establish generating revenue opportunities.
  • Develop high-quality opportunities with a lasting development potential.
  • Insist on contacting and identifying business opportunities and also move them through relationship & buying cycle.
  • Able to develop good relationships with the potential customers by telephone and meetings.
  • Work closely and also effectively with the BDMs in the Sales teams to ensure high level of success with the new secured opportunities.
  • Ensure applying of highest level of safety protocols and standards and also Eaton’s policy.
  • Researching and identifying new customer needs within the targeted areas by the Lighting Solutions Manager and also helping developing the long-term plan of the team.
  • Achieving set targets (conversions, contacts, margin and sales).

The National Specification Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Must be a highly motivated, and self-starter with an ability to work well equally on your own or as a part of the team.
  • Strong professional working experience in a lighting, industrial sales, or energy sales role.
  • Experience within business development is a plus.
  • Full UK driving license is mandatory.
